Wildcat Lacrosse, home of Coventry Youth Lacrosse Association in Chester County, Pennsylvania provides a positive lacrosse experience for each and every player. We pride ourselves in promoting an atmosphere of fun for the girls and boys in an environment where they learn the values of respect and good sportsmanship.

Our club has grown beyond all recognition. CYLA began in 1999 when the Owen J. Roberts school board was petitioned to have the Wildcat Lacrosse club acknowledged as an official lacrosse team; a strong feeder program for the high school. It began with one coach and 16 players. In 2008, we boasted 220 members, 11 boys teams and 5 girls teams.

We are proud to host the annual Boys Spring Thaw Invitational, which began in 2002, with only 16 teams playing a one-day event. The tournament grew in 2007 to 60 teams and a 3-day event. The quality of this event, organization and facility is growing in the lacrosse community as a premier event. We enjoy watching skilled players, persistent defensemen, excellent stick handlers and smart playmakers develop their talents and sportsmanship in their annual quest to bring honor to their respective teams.

The Girls program is focused on not only teaching lax skills and the game of lacrosse, but building the girls’ spirit and confidence. We are proud o host the annual Spring Fling playday in April each year. The program will focus on foundational skills, developing teamwork, promoting team spirit, and continuing to strengthen our community through positive experiences for our children, and gratifying experiences for parents.

There is an incredible amount of talent in our own club, including Penn Valley All Star player. However, it is the dedication, hard work and commitment of all the players, parents and coaches that make Wildcat Lacrosse a program that brings pride and recognition to a community dedicated to its youth.
